Miss Granger

Here's a quick sketch of my favourite witch. All together now:
"WingaaAAAAaarrrdium...levioOOOosaaa!!"

Traffic Warden

"Can we cross yet?"

Busmates

A couple of other passengers on the bus.

Whatcha' Looking At?

This was quite a tricky situation; I couldn't figure out if he'd caught me looking surreptitiously at him as I discreetly tried to capture his rather thug-like attitude on paper.

Drivers

These were drivers stucked in a typical morning jam in Auckland. I don't think they were too happy about my bus trying to 'ease' itself into their lane.

Glum Girl

Looking through my collection of sketches gathered over the last few years, I realize I've actually accumulated a considerable amount of sketches that have been done back when I was commuting to and fro from work on the bus. I should probably start a new section called Bus Sketches.

Anyway, here's a glum looking girl on another miserable drizzly morning on the bus. She was seated facing all the other passengers. It's a rather awkward position to be in; it feels like everyone's looking at you, waiting for you to scratch your nose or make a horrible face as you try to stifle a sneeze. I've had the misfortune of being in that position myself a couple of times. Very unpleasant indeed.

The Little Housekeeper

This was a story idea I had for a short film a few years ago. Even though I liked the premise of the story, I had to abandoned the idea because it just wasn't strong enough.

Drizzle Dodging

This little Asian woman was spotted scampering from one shelter to the other to avoid the increasingly heavy drizzle. Rainy days often promote humourous behaviour in people, thus making an otherwise miserable ride on the bus a whole lot more interesting.

The Bhangese

The Bhangese is a creature which I have been developing in the last few weeks. This version of the Bhangese shows a rather subtle deviation from the primate family. I had envisioned this creature to be a little bit more monstrous and frightening. I hope to post the final version of the Bhangese soon.
