This woman was checking the boarding time for her connecting flight.

Robin of Loxley
The warmth of the summer afternoon descends upon the outlaw like a spell, coaxing him into peaceful slumber under the shades of the forest.

Late Nights
I've often wondered how other people have managed to keep from drooling when they fall asleep on public transport. I could never seem to master the delicate art of snoozing stylishly on the bus.

The Danish Dad
During our stay on one of the Fijian islands, we were put in a bure next to a Danish family living in a tent. By some bizarre coincidence, the father of the family was always in some state of undress whenever we happened to look their way.
I, Robot
My friend and I travelled to Fiji last June. Most of the Fijians we met were full of warmth, grace and good humour. That was probably why we found this particular Fijian girl to be so fascinating. She was a staff member at one resort we were staying in on one of the Yasawa Islands. The somewhat mechanical reception she gave us made her one of the most memorable characters we came across during our trip there.

Spring Is Here!
It's been a while since we last saw Miles. Here are a few sketches showing the extreme poses that the final 3D model would have to withstand without tearing.
Feelers For Ears
This character was created for a simple skip cycle exercise that I wanted to try out a couple of years ago. As it turned out, making a four-legged character skip was no easy feat.

Hansel
It was Hansel, the more mischievous of the two siblings, that got the both of them dreadfully lost in the woods.
Black / White
The objective of this drawing was to create the impression of a penguin using only its markings and deeps shadow areas as anatomical description of the bird.
Busy Bee
A little bumble bee hard at work. Actually, this little bee is helping another playful bee meet his honey quota in time.
Crashing On Pacific Shores
Speaking of sailing, here's the maiden who steers the ship on which I've had the good fortune of cruising with on some of the most wondrous voyages.

A Strange Encounter
It was the true account of a friend who encountered an ogre of a man in the LRT (Light Rail Transit, Malaysia) a few years ago that was the inspiration for this piece. Despite her strong impulse to study this fascinating creature sitting just a few feet away from her, she had to be careful that he did not catch her staring at him. Who knew what consequences she might have suffered? Which dark caves would he have dragged her into? Which tall towers would he have climbed with her precariously clutched in his arms?
My Golden One
"Keh do na, keh do na, you are my soniya""Won't you say it, won't you say it, you are my golden one"
An ardent fan of Shah Rukh's.
At The Mamak
"Whatever, man..." would be his nonchalant reply to a most untrue statement that had just been made about him.*A more stimulating visual impact of this gesture can be achieved by turning the 'W' for whatever downward smoothly to form the 'M' for man. Not many can achieve the flair and grace of this gesture such as the one demonstrated by the creator shown in the illustration above.
A Narrow Escape
A documentary on tv inspired this sketch. I suspect it was this drawing that eventually inspired the idea for In The Woods.

Hair
This little Miss Muffet with a head full of hair was the inspiration for the sketch of the Stolen Child.Link: http://ghoobist.blogspot.com/2007/01/stolen-child_13.html
Look What I've Got!
This boy was obviously oblivious to the fact that his adoration for the cats on Tioman Island was not particularly appreciated.
Gutentag!
This is Ruth. She's German. She taught me how to say 'hello' in German, which is great for making new friends with other Germans. She also taught me a few German profanities that would come in handy should that newfound friendship ever turn sour.
