I decided to dive into a series of helmet studies a few months ago as a result of having too much free time in my hands. This is a study which I have put off for far too long. I have previously just drawn perceived ideas of what I thought armour looked like. Although those purely imaginative sketches have often turned out pretty cool, it's high time a sense of reality was brought in to make what's fantastical believable as well.
